4/21/2018 Vicksburg Pink Invitational—Way to Go Redhawks!

Marshall took 1st place with a total of 39 team points out of the six teams which included, Western 2nd place with 35 points, Gull Lake 3rd place with 34 points, Vicksburg 4th place with 27 points, Pennfield 5th place with 20 points, and Three Rivers 6th place with 13 points.

 1st Singles – Natalie Tucker(12) (MHS) def. Nicole Ambs (12) Three Rivers 6-0,6-0, def. Makenna Leach (12) Vicksburg 6-0,6-2 and def. Jesse Crandell (11) Gull Lake 7-5,6-3 for 1st place win.

 2nd Singles – Melanie Busse (12) (MHS) def. Julia Miklusicak (12) 6-3,6-0, def. Sidnee Arney (12) Three Rivers 6-0,6-1, def. Corrine Doll (12) Parma Western 6-3, 6-2 for 1st place win.

 3rd Singles – Katelyn Kozlowski(10)(MHS) bye in first round, lost to Hailey Klimek(10) 6-4,6-0, def. Leah Hopkins (10) Penfield 6-3,7-6 (7-2) for 3rd place win.

 4th Singles – Olivia Lounds (12) (MHS) def. Sophia Breitenbach (12) Vicksburg 6-3,6-3, def. Megan Jacobs (12) Three Rivers 6-1,6-2, lost to Caroline Davenport (9) Parma Western 6-1,6-0 for 2nd place win.

1st Doubles- Chloe Webber (12) & Aleana Graves (12) (MHS) def. Jade Winne (12) & Hannah Edgerly (10) Gull Lake 6-3,6-3, def. Emily Buratovich (11) & Rylie Bruton (10) Parma Western 6-2, 6-3 for the 1st place win.

2nd Doubles – Rebecca Longman (12) & Carly Holcomb (12) (MHS) def. Morgan Wilcox (11) & Reagan Baker (10) Parma Western 6-2,6-1, def. Jenna Beach (10) & Kaitlynn Szydlowski (10) Vicksburg 6-0,6-0, def. Gracie Devore (12) & Caitlynn Morgan (12) Gull Lake 2-6, 6-4, (12-10) colemen tie breaker for a third set for 1st place win.

3rd Doubles – Kennedy Karns (12) & Grace Underwood (11) lost to.  Mia Green (9) & Shelby Wurtsbaugh (10) Gull Lake 6-0,6-2, def. Marit Chrispjin (12) & Anne Fletcher (12) Parma Western 6-2, 6-2 for the 3rd place win.

4th Doubles – Hannah Larson (11) & Karlee Malone (10) lost to. Kendra Hagey (10) & Grace Martinez (10) Gull lake 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (4-7), (10-8) column tie breaker for a third set def. Mykala Duson (11) & Angeli Carrasquero (10) Three Rivers 8-4 in a 8 game pro set for 5thplace win.
