Boys Varsity Baseball · MHS Baseball falls short in hard played Regional Championship Game


MHS battled the weather and one of the top teams in the state Saturday and came up on the wrong side of a 2-0 score in the Regional Championship game against host team Stevensville-Lakeshore.

In the semi-final Marshall beat Otsego, 4-0.   Evan Asselin earned his 10th win of the season on the mound, getting five strikeouts for Marshall in the win over Otsego.  Jarrett DeLand had two hits, including a double, brother Kole DeLand had two hits that included a double as well.  Logan Austin(2 runs scored), and  Matt Lubis (2 RBIs) also had 2 hits each.

In the Championship game vs. Stevensville-Lakeshore,  Redhawks pitcher Zack Zacharski only allowed five hits and no earned runs in the loss.
Rickey Nye had 2 hits.
MARSHALL FINISHED THE SEASON WITH AN OVERALL RECORD 25-13
I-8 CONFERENCE RECORD 12-2 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
