Redhawks News · Marshall High School in the Top 50 Again for 2018!

These are the top 50 Michigan high schools for athletics!

Saline finished No. 1 in 2017 in a Niche.com survey that tried to determine the top Michigan high school for student-athletes.  Niche.com came out with its 2018 survey, with some new schools listed in the Top 50, including private schools.

Niche uses five criteria in its rankings, weighing each one differently. Parent/student surveys constitute 55 percent of the grade, with total enrollment at 20 percent, number of sports offered at 10 percent, female athlete participation at 7.5 percent and male athlete participation also at 7.5 percent.

Marshall is #41 this year.  Check out the entire list here on M-Live MLive Article for Top 50 Athletic Programs       The Top 50 List from 2017

Thank you parents and student athletes for participating in the Niche survey.  We have great coaches who care about kids who certainly make a difference in our programs.  Our student athletes are excelling in the classroom as well as on the courts, fields, in the pool, on the track, etc.  Thank you to the parents and the Marshall Community for investing time, money and effort to our outstanding athletic program.   The list of people, including MPS employees and/or volunteers is endless.  We are fortunate and we do not take it for granted.

Sincerely,

Dan Coddens

Athletic Director, Marshall Public Schools
