Marshall senior, Brett Carlisle, ran at the State Cross Country Meet for the second year in a row. Last season, he qualified along with his team, but this year when the team fell short of their goal of qualifying a second time in a row, Brett was able to place 8th in the Regional Meet and qualify as an individual runner. On Saturday, he had the honor of competing against 240 of the top runners in the State of Michigan as he ran in the Division II State Championship. There he placed 128th in a time of 17:21 to cap off his high school cross country career. Brett has had an outstanding four year run and plans to continue his love of running at the collegiate level.
