The Marshall High School Boy’s Swimming and Diving Team competed in the 72nd Annual Cereal Bowl Relay Meet this past Saturday. The meet is one of the oldest relay meets in the nation. Some of the best teams in the State of Michigan are in attendance. The Redhawks finished in an impressive 5th place out of the 20 team that were present. They were the top team in their division at the meet. The teams highest finishes of the day were; The 400 IM Relay team of Nate Turner, Lincoln Bultemeier, Landon Morgan, and Tommy Huyge which finished 2nd, The 200 Backstroke Team of Ray Snyder, Grant Doolittle, Jack McClure, and Lincoln Bultemeier that finished 3rd, The 400 Medley Relay Team of Nate Turner, Landon Morgan, Tommy Huyge, Juul Loonen which finished 2nd, and the 800 Free Relay Team of Nate Turner, Carl Quist, Tommy Huyge, and Juul Loonen finishing 2nd. Along with the high finish by the team, Nate Turner qualified for the state meet in the 200 Free and the 100 backstroke. Juul Loonen qualified in the 100 Free. The Redhawk swimmers and divers will compete this Wednesday in the SCC League Relay Meet at Plainwell. Marshall will also host the Marshall Invitational next Saturday, December 8th.
