Ladyhawk Cross Country Wins I-8 Jamboree
Girls Extend Unbeaten Streak to 45
The Marshall Ladyhawk Cross Country Team, currently ranked 9th in the state cross country polls, remained unbeaten as they won the first I-8 jamboree at Harper Creek. The girls finished seven points in front of 6th ranked Lumen Christi , with Parma Western third. Marshall had five girls in the top 12, with Maliyah Gore (5th), Brooke Waito (8th), Camille DeCola (9th), Shawn Brophy (10th) and Abbie Schoepke (12th) scoring for the Redhawks. Also helping with the win were Anna Zacharski, Laraya Warnsley and Natalia Egnatuk who finished in front of the other team’s top five runners.
The Ladyhawks also won the JV race with Zariah Ozuzu winning her second race in a row. Also finishing for the winning team were Lucy Gench in 3rd, Eliza MacQuaig in 4th, Hannah Peterson in 9th, Jaelyn Patton in 10th, Larsen Morehouse in 11th, Isabelle Burnham in 25th and Christy Peterson in 29th.
