Girls Varsity Swimming · Lady Redhawk swimmers say goodbye to Seniors


     The Marshall Girl’s Swim Team celebrated Senior Night last night, October 19, 2020, in their final home meet against Allegan.  The team sent off Seniors Jaylyn Jones, Madi Koski, Kati Kraushaar, Larin Long, Aurelia Wade and Reagan Winnie in spectacular fashion with girls posting 42 season best times.  Although the Allegan Tigers won the meet, the Lady Redhawks swam hard, fast and continued to drop more time.
     Lady Redhawks winning their events were Reagan Winnie and Jaylyn Jones.  Reagan winning the 100 Breaststroke in a time of 1:18.54 and Jaylyn winning the 500 Free in a time of 6:04.08.
     Some season and personal best times were posted by Larin Long in the 100 backstroke in a 1:09.97; Aubrey Peek in the 100 Free in a 1:04.63; Cadynce Rewa in the 200 Free in a 2:28.04, 500 Free in a 6:41.23, 50 Free (Relay) in a 30.58 and 100 Free (Relay) in a 1:08.30; Miriam Brownell in the 50 free in a 28.75 and 100 Free (Relay) in a 1:02.06; Bodil Loonen in the 200 Free in a 2:31.49 and 500 Free in a 6:48.07; Reagan Winnie in the 200 IM in a 2:42.79 and 50 Breast (Relay) in a 33.76; Alex Winnie in the 100 Breaststroke in a 1:36.92; and Maddie Kue scored a personal high score of 113.20 in diving.
    Marshall’s final dual meet is on Tuesday, October 20th when they travel to Harper Creek.
