The Redhawks went 2-0 tonight, posting two straight wins after dropping the opening sets in both matches.

Against Gull Lake, Brynn Johnson powered the offense with 25 kills on an impressive .480 hitting percentage, while also adding 19 digs and 2 aces. Kamryn Winterstein chipped in 4 kills at a .444 clip, and Addie Carden kept the offense running smoothly with 30 assists and 15 digs. Defensively, Jordyn St. John anchored the back row with 18 digs.

In the win over Lansing Catholic, Johnson continued her dominance with 26 kills and 21 digs. Grace Shubert added a strong performance at the net with 7 kills and 3 blocks. Carden racked up 45 assists and 8 digs, while St. John was again solid on defense with 20 digs and 2 aces.

“In the first set of both matchups we came out a little slow and high error and lost both those games, but once we found our rhythm and got warmed up we never looked back. These girls know how to find shots that will score and execute the game plan. They play for each other and have a lot of fun in the process,” said Coach Johnson.
