“I am so pleased with our effort tonight. First games can be a challenge, working out the kinks and all getting on the same page but I am so happy with our first showing. Our course we have some things to clean up but we showed some grit and never let off the gas. We have really been focusing on our team defense each day in practice and at halftime we talked about the need to step up our intensity, get out on shooters, and contain their drives. Our attention to detail in the second half lead to some great transition baskets which allowed us to expand our lead. I’m proud of this group and look forward to our first conference game at Coldwater on Friday”

 

Leading scoring for the Redhawks was Brielle Kelly with 15 points.  Also scoring was Ally Koenig with 10, Grace Shubert and Jordyn St. John with 7 points each, Brynn Johnson with 4 points, and Lola Saber with 3.
