“I was very pleased with our effort in the first half. We went into halftime feeling confident because we knew some areas we had to clean up. Unfortunately, Parma came out strong in the third and we dug ourselves a bit of a hole. Against good teams, you can’t give them any momentum and unfortunately, they definitely found theirs and rolled with it through the third and fourth quarters. I was very pleased with our efforts on Rayah Hitt, their Grand Valley commit. Lola Saber and Brynn Johnson were tasked with shutting her down and they did just that in the first half. She didn’t score in the first half and that is credit to those two, and the help from others anytime Rayah drove in. Unlucky for us, they have another D2 commit that gives teams trouble as well. Grace Shubert had some really nice attacks at the basket and Ally Koenig was phenomenal from the field adding 22 points. We’ve got to learn from this and shift our focus to Jackson Northwest on Friday.”
