JV Boys Basketball 1/8/26 @ Jackson Northwest

The JV Boys basketball team traveled to Jackson Northwest to take on the Mounties on Thursday 1/8/26. Marshall came into this game knowing that it was going to be a tough matchup with a good team.  The first quarter didn’t see a lot of scoring as both teams were running into defensive stands, but the Mounties were able to take a 6-9 lead after 1 quarter.  The 2^nd quarter started out very much the same with both teams pushing the defensive side however Marshall was able to hit several key shots including a clutch 3 from Jakier B to end the half and take a 19-18 lead.  The 3^rd quarter proved to be the difference maker in this game, the Redhawk defense came out and shut down the Northwest team to hold them to 0 points in the 3^rd and allow their offensive weapons to open up and take a commanding 33-18 lead into the final quarter.  After some early quarter offense from the Mounties Marshall was able to finishing touches on a great conference win with the final score 44-30.
