3/24/2026 Marshall Tennis opened the season playing Otsego.  Marshall came away with 2 wins from 1S Kelyn Blackwell 9, and 3DBLS Jorja Uldriks 12/Georgia Lenardson 10.  Overall the team came out and played their best for their first match as we had a lot of Deuce points and just couldn’t come with an overall game win and that will be something to keep working on. 

1S Kelyn Blackwell (9), as she battled back from the first set loss (2-6) and made some adjustments on playing strategy to win the second (7-5) set to go in a third set 10point tie break and won (10-5) to very competitive 1S player from Otsego. 3D Jorja Uldriks (12)/Georgia Lenardson (9) came out and played their game and won in straight sets (6-3), (6-3).  

Marshall Varsity Tennis overall we have a lot of returning players and incoming players with a lot of tennis potential bring to the team in achieving wins as the season progresses.  We have some more match-plays to work on due to the lovely Michigan weather.  Once we have match play and challenges all complete, I see the girls tennis team being competitive in striving to win games throughout the season.  Keep putting in the hard work at practice and match play with 100% effort great things will pay off.  Keep up the great work Ladies and Let’s Go RedHawks’!
