On Thursday, Marshall’s freshman boys traveled to Pennfield where, after starting the game with a 10-2 lead, they found themselves down as many as 12 points in the third quarter. In the the fourth quarter, with a combination of intense defensive effort and improved offensive output, they were able to regain the lead, outscoring Pennfield 17 to 7 in the final period. Leading the scoring were Aiden Noel and Chris Gibson with 12 points each. Evan Costa led the rebounding with 8 and Jesse Saldana led the teams defensive effort with 4 steals. Also scoring was Kooper Lewis with 7 points, Evan Costa with 5, Micah Martinson – 4, Own Valentine – 4, Brady Koenig – 1, and Jesse Saldana – 1 point.
