The 7th B Lady Redhawks took to the road again last night traveling to cross town rival Harper Creek. Although the Redhawks started slowly, the game quickly became the tale of two teams, with the ladies playing a strong second half. The Redhawks were outscored 18 to five in the first half. In the second half the Redhwaks outscored the Beavers 15 to 6. The Redhawks battled hard to shrink the scoring gap from 17 points early in the third to 7 points mid-way through the 4th quarter. Hard work on both ends allowed Marshall to claw their way back in. Unfortunately, the come back came up short as Marshall dropped the game 27-20.
Scoring was lead by Passionnae Chapman game high 9 points, Delaney Warlick scored 4 points, Jaiden Weitting, Mallory Melton, and Shawn Brophy contributed 2 points each, and Da’Nashia Gill scored one point.
The Lady Redhawks will be back in action on Monday as they take on Jackson Lumen Christi at Home, and will hit the road once again on Wednesday traveling to Pennfield to take on the Panthers. Tip off for both games is at 4:30.
