The Marshall Redhawk JV boys soccer team went on the road and defeated Sturgis 7-1. Getting the scoring started was Nikki Ferreira scoring unassisted off a corner kick. Ashton Kramer put the RedHawks up 2-0 minutes later (assist Rolls Kerrigan). Ferreira tallied his second unassisted goal to put Marshall up 3-0 at the half.
The second half saw the Redhawks wear the Trojans down with pressure all over the field. Kaleb Vincent tallied a second half hat trick (Noah Kue and Ashton Kramer assists). Kramer had his second goal of the game as well (assist Josh Kase). Ra Al-Soufi played a solid game in net with several nice saves. Marshall moves to 1-0 on the season and is back on the field Thursday at home vs Jackson Northwest. Kickoff is 5pm.
