May 9th, MMS track took second place to Hastings. Third place finishers for Marshall in the 100 meter for boys Jake Jacoby and Zionae White for girls. Marla Pratley third place in the girls 200. For boys in the 400, Aidan McPartlin earned a third-place finish. In 200 hurdles Amari Artis for girls took third, while Jack Minor took third for boys in 55-meter hurdles. In field events, Addison Waito took third in the pole vault, as did Dimitri Egnatuk, breaking the school record for boys clearing 9ft. Kooper Lewis also finished third for boys in the high jump.
Eight Marshall athletes took second place finishes; Ray Alsoufi (70 meter dash), Lillian Spiekermann (100 meter dash), Malena Johnson (800 meter), Eliza MacQuaig (1600 meter), Ava Karaba (shot put, high jump), Bailey Parker (pole vault), and Jake Jacoby (high jump)
First place finishers for Marshall; Josh Pugh (100 meters), Dimitri Egnatuk (200 meters), boys 4×200 team of Boyer, Alsoufi, Egnatuk, Colon-Figueroa, girls 4×400 relay team of Waito, Karaba, Parker, Stealy. In girls shot put 7th grader Alexis Stealy set a new school record with a throw of 35ft, 3 inches. Other first-place finishes; Shawn Brophy (pole vault) Ty’Quairyon Colon-Figueroa (high jump) and Josh Pugh (long jump)
