MHS Post-Season Baseball News

Junior Evan Asselin was named 2nd Team All-State Division 2.   Evan had a 10 and 1 win/loss record for the 2018 campaign.    He pitched 65 innings, struck out 69, and finished the season with a ERA of 0.75.  Evan’s  0.75 earned run average will get him in the MHSAA record book. MHS Baseball falls short in hard played Regional Championship Game

MHS battled the weather and one of the top teams in the state Saturday and came up on the wrong side of a 2-0 score in the Regional Championship game against host team Stevensville-Lakeshore. Marshall Baseball Wins District Championship! The Redhawks defeat Pennfield in the Semi-final and Win in 10 innings over Olivet to claim the first District Title in baseball since 2007. The Marshall Redhawks Baseball team swept Harper Creek on Tuesday, May 22nd at Cooper Field.    The wins give MHS the I-8 Baseball Conference Championship outright.    Their final league record is 12-2.  This is after losing their opening 2 games the Redhawks ran off 12 straight wins to capture the I-8 Championship. Redhawks Sweep Hastings on Tuesday. Game 1 –   MHS 6  Hastings 0 Pitcher Evan Asselin shut Hastings out, giving up 2 hits and striking out 12 to pick up the win.  Matt Lubis had 3 hits including a double and triple while knocking in 2 runs.
