Marshall Tennis loss to Parma Western

Parma Western (4-5-1) defeated Marshall (3-2) by a 7-1 score on September 14th, sweeping all four singles matches and taking three of four doubles courts. The victory was built on consistent control throughout the lineup. At No. 1 singles, Lucas Parrott (10-0) set the tone for Parma Western with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Marshall’s Harrison Nessel. Parma Western also won a close match at No. 3 singles, where Colin Niemi held off Arjun Lamuth 6-2, 7-6 (8) in a tiebreak. Marshall’s lone point came at No. 3 doubles, where Brady Hill and Landen Emmons defeated Parma Western’s Gavin Flores and Ole Hemmerle 6-0, 5-7, 6-4. Parma Western answered at No. 4 doubles, as Brady Smith and Kent Sanford rallied from a 0-6 first set to beat Samuel Scott and Brogan Jones 0-6, 6-4, 7-5.
