MHS Varsity vs Sturgis High School (72 - 93) Loss Marshall Girls Swim & Dive Compete Against Sturgis The Marshall High School girls swim team hosted Sturgis on September 29, 2026, with Marshall earning several event victories and strong individual and relay performances. Sturgis finished the meet with 93 points, while Marshall recorded 72 points. Marshall opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Isabella Russell, Ella Kaniewski, Autumn Sanchez, and Katie Robinson posted a time of 2:14.72. Marshall’s second relay team, Ameleah Hill, Mary Fedders, Taylor Olding, and Kate Fedders, finished fourth in 2:30.85. In the 200-yard freestyle, Katie Robinson placed second with a time of 2:24.75, followed by teammate Payton Huffman in third at 2:29.81. Autumn Sanchez turned in a strong performance in the 200-yard individual medley, placing second in 2:31.26. Ella Kaniewski added a fourth-place finish in 2:50.61. In the 50-yard freestyle, Kate Fedders led Marshall with a second-place finish in 29.40, while Ameleah Hill placed fifth in 31.04. Emry Astleford finished sixth in 34.24. Marshall had another strong showing in the 100-yard butterfly, where Katie Robinson finished second in 1:26.81 and Emry Astleford placed third in 1:29.92. In the 100-yard freestyle, Kate Fedders placed second with a time of 1:05.54, while Taylor Olding finished third in 1:13.98. Zoey White added a fourth-place finish in 1:18.52. Isabella Russell delivered one of Marshall’s standout individual performances by winning the 500-yard freestyle in 5:54.85, finishing ahead of Sturgis’ Sydney Herblet. The Marshall A relay team of Isabella Russell, Katie Robinson, Ella Kaniewski, and Autumn Sanchez finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:53.71. Marshall’s B team of Payton Huffman, Emry Astleford, Zoey White, and Taylor Olding finished fourth in 2:15.37. In the 100-yard backstroke, Isabella Russell placed second in 1:15.08, followed by Payton Huffman in fourth at 1:23.52 and Ameleah Hill in fifth at 1:27.31. Marshall dominated the top of the 100-yard breaststroke, with Autumn Sanchez winning the event in 1:17.26. Ella Kaniewski placed fourth in 1:26.90, while Mary Fedders finished fifth in 1:39.05. Marshall closed the meet with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Taylor Olding, Ameleah Hill, Payton Huffman, and Kate Fedders posted a winning time of 4:41.82, finishing ahead of Sturgis’ A relay.
