Marshall High School

The Marshall High School Cross Country team competed in the I-8 Conference meet at Cornwell's Turkey Farm on Thursday October 22. Abraham McHugh and Alaina Dillon both finished 4th in their respective races earning All-Conference honors while Caylor Elsesser finished 11th earning All Conference Honorable Mention. In addition to McHugh and Elsesser, Austin Ruppel (19th), Owen Hanson (26th), and Maxwell Romeri (32nd) scored varsity points to help the men take 3rd place at the meet and 3rd overall in the I-8 conference. For the women, Dillon was supported by teammates Hailey McKinlay (21st), Nadia Smyczek (22nd), Gianna DeCola (32nd), and Aaliyah Johnson (55th). The ladies rallied to finish 4th as a team at the conference meet but finished 7th overall in the conference as they didn't field enough runners in the first conference meet to score points. The team also celebrated their senior runners as they competed in their last conference race of their high school careers. Congrats to seniors Gianna DeCola, Gavin Jarvis, Aaliyah Johnson, Abraham McHugh, and Nadia Smyczek. The runners travel to Portage on Saturday for regional competition.
