This week, the Lady Redhawks traveled to South Haven for a league meet with the Rams.  The team scored 77 points against South Haven’s 104 points to come in at 2nd place for the meet. Overall, the team keeps stretching itself to gain more skill and strength as the season progresses. Highlights of the meet include a 2nd place finish for Autumn Sanchez in the 200 Yard Individual Medley and a 2nd place finish for Courtney Olding in the 100 Yard Butterfly.  Ella Doolittle came in 2nd with her 50 Yard Freestyle race and Claire Thomas captured 2nd place with her 100 Yard Freestyle race.

Divers Alexes Spencer and Meagan Raysin placed 2nd and 3rd respectively for their jumps off the board.  Several of the dives were chosen because of their increased levels of difficulty as they ramp up their game.  In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Doolittle grabbed 2nd place.  Maria Dent was on her heels with a 3rd place finish and Payton Huffman claimed the 4th place finish.  Olding and Ava Wagner were 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in their 100 Yard Backstroke race, and Sanchez was only eighteen one hundredths of a second from winning her 100 Yard Breaststroke race.  It was truly a fight to the finish!  The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Thomas, Katie Robinson, Sanchez and Dent came in 2nd.  For the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, however, it was a sweep as Marshall claimed 1st place with the A-Team of Doolittle, Lilly Marvin, Dent and Thomas; 2nd place with the B-Team of Huffman, Kate Fedders, Olding and Wagner; and 3rd place with the C-Team of Lily Mix, Allie Munson, Emry Astleford, and Ameleah Hill.  Way to go, Redhawks!
