The MHS swimming team is on a roll, defeating opponents at every dive and turn. On December 18, they faced Sturgis and emerged victorious with a 20-point lead (98-78). While relays are always a major source of points, it was the individual performances that really dominated the scoreboard during the Sturgis meet.
In the 200-yard Freestyle, Brayden Snyder took 2nd, Jackson Rozell finished 4th, and Pierson Dubois placed 5th.
In the 200-yard IM, A.J. Coats claimed 1st with an impressive 11.5-second lead over Sturgis in 2nd, while Ledger Dale finished 3rd, and Connor Thurber took 4th.
In the 50-yard Freestyle, Carter Pratt took 1st, Jonathan Tanner finished 4th, and Landon Patton placed 5th.
In the 100-yard Butterfly, Ryan Robinson finished 1st with a 5-second lead, followed by Carter Pratt in 2nd, and Jonathan Tanner in 4th.
In the 100-yard Freestyle, Brayden Snyder claimed 1st with a 5.2-second lead over Sturgis, with Ira Corralez finishing 4th, and Liam Scott placing 5th.
In the 500-yard Freestyle, A.J. Coats took 2nd with a time of 5:59.7, Jackson Rozell finished 4th with a time of 7:01.69, and Pierson Dubois placed 5th with a time of 7:27.81.
In the 100-yard Backstroke, Ryan Robinson finished 1st with a 9-second lead over Sturgis, while Ledger Dale took 3rd and Austin Fish placed 5th.
In the 100-yard Breaststroke, Connor Thurber took 2nd, Ira Corralez finished 3rd, and Jonah Kue placed 4th.
The team’s next meet is scheduled for January 7th at Harper Creek, where the swimmers will be battling the Beavers. #GoRedHawks
