Marshall Girls defeat Coldwater on the Lanes

The Redhawk girls bowlers hosted Coldwater at Marshall Lanes on Tuesday. This was the beginning of the I-8 schedule.
The fist game of singles did not go the way of the Redhawks, as the Cardinals took game one by two pins 720 - 718.Summer Stone had a 170 to win her point and Olivia Stone was able to squeeze a point against her opponent. Game two was a different story. All five girls won their points. Zoey Stone had a 155, Dalila Fields had her best game of the season with a 180 and Ember Boughton had a 170. The team total was 785 to Coldwater's 561.
Moving into baker format, the Redhawks needed to win one game to take the match. On a day that the team decided to make everything interesting, The Redhawks did just that. A slow start to the game led to an early deficit before a three bagger gave them a chance, but Coldwater had gotten hot, too and finished with a 200 to Marshall's 167. The final game was for the match, Marshall stayed consistent with the first game and turned in a 163 while Coldwater cooled and was only able to muster a 114. giving Marshall the victory 19 - 11.
The Redhawks return to action on Sunday at South Lanes in Three Rivers for a team tournament.
