On 1/11, the boys' swimming team gave it their all in Bridgman, aiming for the coveted Coconut Cup. While we finished in 3rd place, our athletes had significant accomplishments, including several personal records (PRs).
The Marshall swimmers who earned medals were:
- J. Rozell – 6th place, 200 Free
- A. Coats – 2nd place, 200 IM; 4th place, 100 Back; 3rd place, 400 Free Relay
- L. Dale – 5th place, 200 IM; 2nd place, 200yd Free Relay
- E. Dale – 6th place, 200 IM; 6th place, 200yd Free Relay
- B. Snyder – 2nd place, 50 Free; 4th place, 100 Free; 2nd place, 200yd Free Relay; 3rd place, 400 Free Relay
- R. Gill – 6th place, Diving
- R. Robinson – 2nd place, 100 Butterfly; 1st place, 500 Free; 2nd place, 200yd Free Relay; 3rd place, 400 Free Relay
- J. Tanner – 6th place, 100 Butterfly; 3rd place, 400 Free Relay
- C. Thurber – 6th place, 500 Free; 6th place, 200yd Free Relay
- I. Corralez – 2nd place, 200yd Free Relay
- A. Fish – 6th place, 200yd Free Relay
- A. Lerma – 6th place, 200yd Free Relay
In addition to these accomplishments, several swimmers achieved new personal bests and completed the 50 Freestyle in under 30 seconds. Congratulations to B. Snyder, L. Scott, A. Fish, J. Tanner, J. Spence, A. Lerma, and J. Kue.
The biggest highlights of the meet came from swimmers who dropped more than 5 seconds in their events. These outstanding athletes include P. DuBois (500 Free), C. Fish (50 Free), R. Robinson (500 Free), and J. Warner (100 Free).
Finally, a huge congratulations to Ryan Robinson, who earned a Coconut Cup for his 1st place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 5:34.20!
