Marshall Girls take 3rd on the lanes at Three Rivers
Updated on 01/13/2025

The Marshall Redhawk girls bowlers travelled to Three Rivers on Sunday for a regional preparation tournament. The format was two games of individual games for each team and then 8 baker style games. There is no match play for this format. Total pinfall determines the winner.

Individual games of note were turned in by Dalila Fields with a 193 and 152, Ember Boughton had a 168 and 153, Delilah Creighton stood tall in her first varsity individual action with a 159. The Redhawks' game totals were 739 and 744 as a team.

The scoring was tough for the Hawks during baker play as they had 1145 for eight games with their top games being 158 and 166. Nevertheless, it was good for a third place finish behind a very tough Three Rivers team and Rockford. Rockford is division 1 and will not be a factor in the postseason, but Three Rivers is assigned to the same region as Marshall, so the Redhawks will have to contend with them again in a few weeks.

Until then, conference play continues. Pennfield comes to Marshall Lanes on Tuesday followed by a visit from Hastings on Thursday and a non-conference visit from Lumen Christi on Friday.
