Thursday the Boys Varsity team traveled to Jax 60 for a conference meet against Jackson
Northwest and walked away with a win and final score of 20-10. The first series of single head
to heads matches came down to a 4-pin difference 755-751 with the Redhawks in the lead
gaining 4 points. Ridge Novak (170), Leeland Murphy (163) and Xavier VanDeMoortel (179)
won their individuals giving the team 3 more points. For the second series of individual games
the Redhawks strengthened their lead with a series win of 878-781 this earned them 4 more
points and an additional 2 points for overall series score. Ayden George (170), Leeland Murphy
(234) and Xavier VanDeMoortel (202) won their individuals giving the team 3 final points which
put the over all score at 16-4 for the meet. Heading into the Baker games Marshall had already
secured the win. The Redhawks won the first Baker with a score of 160-146 and the Mounties
won the second Baker 152-192 bringing the final score to 20-10. This puts the Varsity Boys
team 2-1 in the conference, and they will turn around and face Pennfield on Friday at Marshall
Lanes. This is a rescheduled match that’s starts at 3:30pm. Come out and support the team!
