The MHS Swimmers secured another victory, defeating Allegan 95-90 on January 28, 2025. Allegan pushed our swimmers throughout the meet, keeping the pressure on and driving them to achieve personal best times. It was a true team effort, with everyone contributing to earn every possible point.
Recognition for personal best times this season goes to Ira Corralez in the 50 Freestyle, Austin Fish, Liam Scott, and Brayden Snyder in the 100 Freestyle, and Jackson Rozell in the 200 Freestyle. In the 500 Freestyle, both Jackson Rozell and Pierson DuBois improved by 10 seconds or more. Easton Dale and Ledger Dale earned personal bests in the 200 IM, while Jonathan Tanner set a new best in the 100 Butterfly, Asa Strand in the 100 Backstroke, and Ledger Dale in the 100 Breaststroke.
Our divers continue to ramp up the intensity of their dives, making it difficult for the competition to keep pace. Ronnie Gill earned 176.4 points (1st place), Caylor Elsesser scored 142.9 points (2nd place), and Aiden Vance earned 114.65 points (4th place).
Looking ahead, our next meet is a tri-meet against Battle Creek Central and Kalamazoo Central at Kalamazoo Central High School. Senior Night will be held on February 4 at home against Hastings, where we’ll recognize Ledger Dale, Ronnie Gill, Carter Pratt, and Brayden Snyder. Be sure to come out and cheer on our Marshall swimmers and seniors! #GoRedHawks
