MMS 7A traveled to Jackson Northwest Monday night to take on a quick and athletic Mounties team. Marshall came out flat and hesitant in the first quarter, missing some shots and passes they know they should make, falling in the hole 11-1 after the 1st quarter. Marshall made some adjustments defensively at break and started scoring, heading into halftime down 19-8. Marshall came out in 3rd quarter and took charge defensively, keeping the Mounties to 0 pts for quarter, while scoring 5 pt. Marshall kept battling throughout the 4th quarter, pulling within 3 pts with less than 2 mins to play. In the end NW were able to knock down some free-throws for a 25-19 victory. Leading the way scoring for Marshall was Charlotte Baker with 8 pts, Amaya DuBois with 6 pts, and Maryah Noonan with 5 pts.
