Marshall traveled to Hastings Bowl on Tuesday to take on the Saxons. When the two teams met earlier this month, it was a close match that the Redhawks had to pull out in baker play. Tuesday was an entirely different story. In game 1 the Redhawks fired an impressive 857 to Hastings' 710. Olivia Stone led the way with her first career 200 game (210 to be exact) followed by 183 from Dalila Fields and 182 from Ember Boughton. Zoey Stone had a 145 and Delilah Creighton rounded it out with 137. This was good for 4/5 individual points and 4 team points.

Game two was much of the same with the Redhawks controlling the game 754-638. Ember Boughton led with a 183, Olivia Stone 172, McKenna Cornell 158, Dalila Fields and Stephanie Sobaski had to battle through tough breaks to turn in138 and 103, respectively. Thir scores certainly didn't reflect how well they actually bowled. FOr the team it was again 4/4 individual points, 4 points for the game and 2 for the two game total. This secured the victory before baker play even started.

With a couple different line-up combinations, the Redhawks turned in a tough game one in baker with a 133 and a second game rebound at 172. Hastings took game one with a 189 and game two with a 173. Final score, Marshall 18, Hastings 12.

The Marshall girls are now 6-1 in I-8 play and 12-1 overall with three conference matches remaining. They return home on Thursday to face Western at 3:30. Next week will be a big week. Sunday is the Trojan Invitational at Bronson Strikes Zone hosted by Sturgis. Monday is a makeup match at Albion's University Lanes against Western while Tuesday is Senior Day at Marshall Lanes before conference singles at M-66 on the 15th.
