On Monday, the Redhawks travelled to University Lanes in Albion to take on Western in their penultimate conference match of the season. Game one went to the Redhawks, 779 - 647. Leading the way was Olivia Stone with a 180 and Delilah Creighton with a 179. Ember Boughton and Dalila Field pitched in with a 150 and 143, respectively. Game two was a grind for both teams with Marshall prevailing 673 - 567, Olivia Stone led the way again with a 160, Zoey Stone turned in a 154 while Delilah Creighton had 149. Western took the first baker game 171 - 135 while Marshall won the second 149-96. The final tally was Marshall 22, Western 8.

This set up Tuesday's match with Jackson NW for the conference title. With Marshall leading the conference standings with only a single loss and NW having two, the Redhawks were guaranteed a share of the title. The match was moving along well before missed spares caught up with Marshall. Ember Bougton (153) and Olivia Stone (136) were the only bowlers to take their point during game one as the Redhawks lost the team total, 737-677.

Game two was an entirely different story as the ladies came roaring back to win 813-758, Zoey Stone led the way with a 224, taking her point in the process. Olivia Stone had a 163, taking her point, while Summer Stone also had a 163. Ember Boughton had to grind out a 139, but she took her point. NW finished with 1495 to Marshall's 1490 for individual team total giving them an 11-9 lead heading into baker.

Baker game one went the way of the Mounties 164-146. With their backs against the wall and needing to win the second game by 19 or more to force a one game baker roll off, the Redhawks SHOWED UP. Baker game two went to Marshall 173-143.

All tied at 15 for the match, a tie breaking baker game was in order. Both teams had to grind through this final game and in the end, Marshall made enough spares and had just enough fortune to win the finale, 154-116. This secures the outright I-8 championship for 2025 with a conference record of 9-1. The Redhawks match record is 15-1 and the team has also won two team tournaments. It has been quite a season for this group.

Next up, Marshall will travel to M-66 bowl on Saturday at 1 PM to compete in the conference singles tournament before competing in the team regional on Friday February 21 at Continental Lanes in Portage and regional singles the following day at the same venue.
