Marshall 7A Girls started out their week home against Lumen Christi on Tuesday night. The girls were looking for revenge from an earlier loss at Lumen earlier in the season. Marshall came prepared and ready, applying aggressive half-court pressure that kept Lumen on their heels all game. Offensively Marshall was attacking well, but many times the shots were not falling in the first half. Marshall led 13-6 at halftime. The Redhawks came out aggressive again in the 3rd putting up 12 pts and holding Lumen to 6 pts. Marshall would get their revenge, finishing out the victory with a 32-18 score. Leading the way scoring for Marshall were Maleah Lapp with 11 pts, Charlotte Baker with 9 pts, Amaya Dubois with 6 pts, Maryah Noonan, Emma Hoffman, and Annisette Palma with 2 pts, and Rebecca Robinson with 1 pt.
The Redhawks took the court Wednesday night as well against Coldwater. Marshall hit the court running and never looked back. They moved the ball up court quickly and effectively, always making that extra pass. Marshall dominated the boards on both ends of the court, and their pressure defense drove Coldwater crazy all night, leading to many turnovers and fast breaks for the Redhawks. Marshall went into halftime leading the Cardinals 34-11. In the 3rd quarter the Redhawks didn't let up and continued to push the ball up court and headed into a running clock 4th quarter with a 51-17 lead. Marshall finished out the victory 55-25. Leading the way scoring for Marshall were Maryah Noonan with 13 pts, Charlotte Baker with 10 pts, Maleah Lapp with 8 pts, Hailee Grigg and Rebecca Robinson with 6 pts each, Annisette Palma with 4 pts, and Jordyn White, Vanna Willavize, Emma Hoffman, and Olivia Dillon all with 2 pts each.
