The men’s golf team traveled to Laingsburg on Saturday April 12, to play in a mixed format tournament. There were multiple scoring formats as follows:
Freshmen Riese Domingo and Jude Graeber teamed up to post a combined scramble score of 83 and finished 13th out of 20.  An admirable finish for their first ever varsity match.
Seniors Landon Fazekas and Raige Joseph teamed up on an alternate shot format and also finished 13th out of 20
Junior Henry Martin carded a 93 as an individual golfer good for a 19th out of 40 finish, and Senior Ivan Egnatuk in his first varsity match had a great day shooting well enough to place 30th out of 40 in individual play. 

Marshall also played in their first I-8 match of the season on Monday 4/14 finishing second as a team to last years league champion Harper Creek. Marshall was led by Sophomore Henry Strand with an 81 which was good for 8th, followed closely by last weeks co leader Junior Clark Erwin with an 83 and a 10th place and last weeks other co leader Kayden Granger with an 84 and a 12th place finish, rounding out Marshall’s scoring was Senior Xander Goss with an 85. Also competing for Marshall were Junior Augustus DuFresne and Sophomore Colten Scherer.

Their next competition is Thursday at Forest Akers the home course for Michigan State University. This is a premier event in Michigan and the Marshall men will be competing against many top ten ranked golfers and teams in Michigan.
