In their first match of the season Marshall JV travelled to Vicksburg to compete against 9 other teams from around the region.  The Marshall team made a great effort but unfortunately came up a bit short in this 9 hole event. 

Marshall had a combined team score of 208, with sophomore Gavin Ramey leading all Marshall scorers with a 47 and a 12th place finish out of 50 golfers.  This is a personal best for Gavin.  He was followed closely by teammate junior Asa Strand with a 50.  The next three Marshall golfers were all appearing in their first ever high school matches, led by sophomore Brayden Parnicky with a 55 and freshman Owan Jakubas with a 56 rounding out the scoring for Marshall.  Also golfing for Marshall was freshman Penn Hilton who unfortunately finished outside scoring in this event. 

All of these players along with 15 others will compete this week at a home event, The Tom Reynolds Memorial Invitational at Marshall Country Club on Friday 4/25 starting at 9:30 AM.  This annual event will draw 15-20 teams from around the region and should be a great day to come out and cheer on YOUR MARSALL REDHAWKS!
